Mrs. Caroline Alexius Hebert passed peacefully into Eternal Rest on the morning of October 19, 2010, in Savannah, Georgia.
A lifelong resident of Louisiana, in April, 2009, she moved from her family home in Covington, LA to "The Marshes of Skidaway Island" near her daughter.
Loved for her kind and gentle nature, Mrs. Hebert was a devoted Anglican, forever faithful to her Christ Church in Covington, LA, active in all affairs bringing joy and life to friends and family.
She was born May 8, 1923 in New Orleans, LA and graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA.
Mrs. Hebert was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, L.A. Hebert, her brother Haller Alexius, her father Alfred P. Alexius, and her mother Gertrude Haller Alexius. She is survived by a son, Roger Hebert Jean of Baton Rouge, LA, and a daughter, Lisa McEachern John of Savannah, GA. She has four grandchildren, Amy Hebert Motto, of Baton Rouge, LA, Roger Hebert, Jr., of Nashville, TN, and Raleigh and Lauren McEachern of Savannah, GA, seven great grandchildren, and many adored nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.
Memorial service arrangements will be forthcoming.
